About the Role

The Demand Planner plays a vital role in developing and maintaining an accurate demand forecast using data from various sources, including sales inputs on promotions and distribution, shipment history, competitive activities, and marketing plans. This position is crucial in creating and managing true consumer demand signals that drive the supply chain and company goals.

This role will act as the conduit between commercial teams and regional supply chain planning, making informed decisions that impact the demand plan and confidently communicating those decisions to key management stakeholders.

To succeed in this fast-paced and dynamic role, you will need to be a well-rounded individual with exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills. You should be able to manage ambiguity, quickly identify deviations from expected results and other disruptions, and promptly resolve issues.

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain current demand planning systems to create reliable and highly accurate forecasts.
  • Collect and analyze past and future demand inputs from sales and marketing, and calculate their impacts on demand.
  • Make proactive recommendations to enhance business processes and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, discontinuations, and transitions to evaluate assumptions.
  • Work with Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Finance for advertising and promotional activities.
  • Manage and deliver a detailed S&OP process.

What You Need

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree qualified in economics, supply chain management, engineering, or a related business field. You should have solid senior-level Demand Planning experience within FMCG/Consumer Goods Industry, a strong understanding of all elements of the Supply Chain function, and demonstrated results working in a team-based, cross-functional environment.
