The Opportunity
The Head of B2B Channel is responsible for leading and managing the Mobile Experience B2B (MX B2B) channel team, with a dual responsibility of individually leading executive engagements and business planning with Telstra. In this role you will be responsible for supporting channel focused strategies, setting objectives and allocating resources.
You will also be responsible for the Telstra B2B channel engagements to motivate and drive your team towards the highest quality in strategy development and channel execution, and ultimately, meeting the sales targets for revenue (sell-in, sell-out and strategic sales) as set by Head of Division (MX - B2B).
Role and Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to accommodate achievement of sales goals- Direct sales forecasting activities and setting of team performance goals- Oversee channel strategy and channel sales execution to grow Samsung's market share across all segments and industries- Lead Telstra B2B channel strategy development, executive engagement, and growth- Oversee staffing, training and performance evaluations for the team to develop and enhance people capability and retention.- In coordination with the Head of Enterprise Sales, help direct BDM opportunity development activities- Deliver presentations to key partners in co-ordination with Channel team members- Implement regular partner cadence metrics for the team, incorporating weekly forecast alignment, monthly business reviews, and quarterly business reviews- Meet with key end clients, assisting the BDM team with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals- Co-ordinate liaison with support divisions, ie. finance, sales support, credit, claims, logistics, HR, Legal on processes, procedures, reporting, ad hoc and ongoing issues.- Generate regular and accurate sales reporting and forecasting- Work with HQ and RHQ on ad hoc requests.- Operate with a One Samsung mentality; engaging proactively with B2C and Consumer Electronics divisions to drive greater results- Ensure all activities comply with Acts and Regulations as well as adherence to local and global Samsung policies and procedures.- Perform other duties as directed from time to time by management.
The nature of this role and level of responsibility may require reasonable additional hours over and above 37.5 hours per week and may also require work outside of ordinary hours.
Skills and Qualifications- 10+ years of enterprise B2B channel leadership experience, within the IT or Telecom industry (ideally, if you have worked with (or for) Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, Dicker Data or Synnex)- A proven track record of success in selling complex solutions to enterprise customers, developing and executing a channel sales strategy to meet growth targets- Experience in team leadership and coaching- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in managing senior execrative relationships- Strong verbal and written communication skillsWhat sets us apart from the rest?
