Overview
Technical Business Analyst needed to join the Professional Services team in Australia. Acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery team. Responsible for gathering, analysing, and documenting business and technical requirements to ensure solutions align with business outcomes and architectural standards.
Responsibilities
Engage stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document business and technical requirements.
Analyse business processes and translate them into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with clients, developers, architects, and engineers throughout the SDLC to validate solutions and ensure feasibility.
Produce artefacts such as process maps, data flows, sequence diagrams, and system/interface specifications.
Ensure requirements traceability and support delivery across Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Work with QA and business stakeholders on acceptance criteria, testing, and UAT.
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and walkthroughs to align stakeholders and drive consensus.
Perform system and data analysis, including APIs, integration points, data mapping, and transformation activities.
Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and business audiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, Agile BA, Scrum Master) desirable.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a technical focus in IT projects and/or software development.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
Proficiency in documenting processes (BPMN, UML, flowcharts, data models).
Experience with APIs, integrations, and system interoperability.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Background in software engineering, data analysis, or system administration.
Experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
Familiarity with SQL or other query languages.
Base Pay
A$130,000.00/yr - A$160,000.00/yr
