Type : Part-Time Term : Ongoing Officer, Christian Initiation (Centre for Christian Initiation and Liturgy) Permanent, Part-time (22.8 hours per week) The Centre for Christian Initiation and Liturgy provides formation, training, support to parishes and Catholic schools in all aspects of liturgical life and Christian Initiation.
The Centre collaborates with priests, chaplains, parish liturgy coordinators, and Christian Initiation teams to ensure the faithful implementation of liturgical documents and other RCIA processes.
The Officer, Christian Initiation supports the Director in providing formation and support to parish communities for adults, children and youth seeking to become Catholics.
The role supports their supervisor in providing, building, and maintaining the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and Rite of Catholic Initiation of Youth Program (RCIP) process in parishes.
The role will assist with presenting parish formation sessions to support course development, and encourage the implementation of sound Catechetical, theological and Pastoral principles and practices.
This role may require you to work outside of normal office hours.
About the role - a snapshot: 1 Be part of a small, vibrant team 2 Actively working for the mission of the Catholic Church3 Work directly with Parishes across the Archdiocese, supporting RCIA processes The successful candidate must have a good understanding of the RCIA process and rites, good interpersonal and communication skills, an in-depth understanding of the Catholic Faith and the Catholic Church.
A valid National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, WA Driver's Licence, and proof of Right to Work in Australia are required.
