About the role

As an External Auditor at Reliance Auditing Services, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our diverse client base. Reporting to the Audit Partner, this full-time position is based in our Perth CBD office and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end external audit process for a portfolio of clients across various industries
  • Identify and assess risks, design appropriate audit procedures, and deliver high-quality audits that meet professional standards
  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations to clients on improving their financial reporting and internal controls
  • Mentor and develop more junior members of the audit team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's audit methodologies and documentation
  • Liaise effectively with clients, regulators, and other key stakeholders

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of post-qualification experience in external auditing, ideally within a mid to top-tier accounting firm
  • Proven track record of managing complex audits and delivering exceptional client service
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, corporate reporting requirements, and relevant legislation
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, and membership with CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
