**Position overview**

This position will work closely with all business units to establish a centrally consultative procurement framework in accordance with VGPB policies. It is a vital role that demands agility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to build relationships with staff at all levels of seniority, to be a trusted advisor.

The required procurement skills for this position include a thorough understanding of Procure to Pay (P2P) processes, strategic sourcing, category planning, Supplier Relationship Management, and Contract Management. Additionally, strong data analytical skills and an understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies are essential.

**What we are looking for**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, contract management and procurement within the public and/or private sectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate written documents and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, negotiate outcomes utilising a high level of initiative to solve problems.
- Proven ability to think strategically about project and research issues to develop strategic plans.
- Tertiary qualification and recognised procurement professional body (CIPSA).
