**About the Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Travel Sales Consultant to join our retail travel & experience team of experts, who provide exceptional customer service to our members and customers.

As a Travel Sales Consultant, you will utilise your exceptional customer service skills and share your knowledge, expertise and passion for travel. You will be responsible for managing the customer travel experience from beginning to end, promoting travel products, converting sales to meet targets, creating long lasting relationships that foster repeat business for return travellers and achieving a high level of member and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities for the role include:
- Promote holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, experiences & insurance- Assist customers with face to face in store & online service, managing new enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments and cancellations- Facilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross selling & up selling of travel products- Manage travel credits, refunds and changes- Use Amadeus GDS- Attend sales meetings and achieve targets & KPIs- Attend industry events ie. supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos

Our team work Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, with the requirement to attend occasional out of office industry events. The business may consider increasing to 7 day trading in the future, with a requirement for staff to work weekends.

**What you'll need to be successful**- 2+ years experience in the retail travel agency environment, essential- Certificate 3 in Travel or higher, preferred- Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo GDS experience, preferred- Passion for travel industry and personal travel experience, preferred- Excellent customer service & communication skills- Outstanding organisational, attention to detail & problem solving skills- Ability to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productively
