An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated, dynamic and flexible professional to join the Department of Premier and Cabinet as Manager, Victorian Independent Remuneration Tribunal Secretariat.
The Secretariat supports the Victorian Independent Remuneration Tribunal to create a more transparent and accountable remuneration system and provides a positive, supportive culture that enables high performance.
As a Manager in the Secretariat, reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for providing authoritative insightful, rigorous and timely advice to the Victorian Independent Remuneration Tribunal on various remuneration issues for Members of Parliament, public sector executives and local councillors. You will also be managing a variety of products and processes to foster best-practice remuneration outcomes for senior officials. The role will also manage a small team of policy officers in the Secretariat supporting the Tribunal.
The role requires strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The ability to prioritise tasks will also help to ensure your success.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, problem-solving and co-ordination processes to inform the development of policies and programs.
- Proven ability to lead a small team of policy officers to deliver key products for the Tribunal and enable the team to further develop their skills and capabilities.
- Highly developed negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide advice on processes and policies and establish and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situations.
