The Service Technician is responsible for repairs and maintenance on site of A & L product. The technician coordinates their given day's service run whilst achieving optimum productivity by ensuring all work is carried out in a timely fashion. The service technician is a main interface with our customers and must provide a competent and personable representation for the company. As this is a senior position they are also responsible for the efficient operation of their relevant co-workers service team and ensure the team is resourced adequately from an equipment, training technical and process perspective

A key function of the role is the continuous knowledge building of the quality assurance team from a technical perspective
- Provide technical expertise in A&L products to assist customers in fault investigation
- Investigate reported product faults and determine the root cause for rectification
- Provide alternative solutions for installation and or rectification
- Work with the Service Co-coordinator in all matters above to determine the best outcome for all parties involved.
- Requires extensive experience/technical background to specify, troubleshoot, repair, train staff in appropriate means and methods and new products installations.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing including explaining technical information to non-technical audiences
- Ability to interpret planning specifications, documents, working drawings, and related reports
- Must be able to do overnight runs

Tools of the trade will be provided

**To be considered for this role you will need to have the following**:

- A Current Driver's License.
- Carpentry Qualification/trade background.
- Prior experience in Window and or the building industry a bonus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong customer focus.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- A strong work ethic and reliability.
