pitt&sherry Building Surveying commenced operation in 1996 across Tasmania and Victoria.Having a breadth of experience in significant commercial and residential projects across each state, pitt&sherry Building Surveying is focused on providing a service renowned for its quality, professionalism and integrity, helping our clients succeed to create safer buildings and minimise compliance risk.We do this through the way we communicate and the people we employ.The Opportunity:We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Building Surveyor to join our Launceston team to help our clients achieve safe and compliant buildings.This role will see you:Support our existing client base through sound technical knowledge and professionalism.Carry out regulatory assessments on all types of commercial projects.Carry out early phase compliance assessments and reporting through concept/schematic/design development.Assess project documentation against the deemed-to-satisfy and performance requirements of the Building Code of Australia, Act and Regs.Facilitate the preparation of Certificate of Likely Compliance, Occupancy Permits, Certificates and documentationManage multiple projects from beginning to endLeading by example and assisting the development of staff, through growth, education and support.Liaise with relevant stakeholders and provide technical assistance to our clients.Assist other staff members with building surveying and business development matters.Attend site inspections and design meetings as required.What you bring:Licensed or nearly licensed as a Building Surveyor5+ yrs experience in a similar role is preferred, however we will consider all levels of experienceDegree or Post Graduate qualification in Building SurveyingSound knowledge of current Building Act, Regulations and Building Code of Australia.Be well informed with Building Surveyors Code of Practice in TasmaniaDemonstrated time management and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Strong writing skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels.High level of attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Computer literate.Current Driver's licence.Why join us:We're a friendly bunch who are passionate about our work.This role is a great opportunity for someone who's looking to join a collaborative team and further develop their career.We are more than just Building Surveyors.
