Building Surveyor Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our building projects.

  • About the Role:
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in building surveying to work on significant commercial and residential projects across Tasmania and Victoria.
  • You will be responsible for supporting our existing client base through sound technical knowledge and professionalism.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regulatory assessments on various types of commercial projects.
  • Conduct early phase compliance assessments and reporting during concept/schematic/design development.
  • Assess project documentation against the deemed-to-satisfy and performance requirements of the Building Code of Australia.
  • Facilitate the preparation of Certificates of Likely Compliance, Occupancy Permits, Certificates, and related documentation.
  • Manage multiple projects from inception to completion.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Licensed or nearly licensed as a Building Surveyor.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in building surveying.
  • Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Building Surveying.
  • Sound knowledge of current Building Act, Regulations, and Building Code of Australia.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
