**About the role**

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager NSW, the Events and Engagement Lead is responsible for coordinating an annual program of engagement events for the Development Department and other select key company events such as opening night celebrations. The position will involve liaising with donors, prospective donors, corporate partners and VIPs.

**This role is a 2 year fixed term contract.**

**Key Areas of focus**

**Donor engagement and events**
- In collaboration with Philanthropy Managers, develop and implement an annual program of donor engagement events focussed on unique behind-the scenes access insights into Opera Australia's work booking all venue, technical and associated hospitality for each event and managing the delivery of each event.
- In consultation with the Development Director, manage approved budgets for each event.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key venue supplies and partners to maximise revenue investments and ensure event implementation is of a high professional standard.
- Create event briefings for senior leadership and artistic teams.
- In collaboration with Philanthropy Managers, support donor engagement activities such as gifts, communications and other touchpoints.

**Opening night events**
- In collaboration with Development and Publicity teams, manage annual program of opening night pre, interval and post-performance events booking all venue, technical and associated hospitality for each event.
- Coordinate invitation lists from Executive teams and artistic leadership, working with box office to ensure that invitations are sent in a timely manner.
- Coordinate event briefings in consultation with Development and Publicity teams for distribution to the Executive team ahead of each opening.

**Partnership development**
- Research opportunities for in-kind partnerships to support events to help reduce budget impact.
- Prepare proposals for support.
- In collaboration with the Corporate Partnerships team, participate in approaches to potential partners and manage partnership deliverables.

**About you**
- Demonstrated experience in managing events
- Highly developed Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel
- Intermediate understanding of CRM databases
- Advanced level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced time management skills
