Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our dedicated team at Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care. This is your opportunity to step into a leadership position where your clinical expertise, collaborative spirit, and commitment to excellence will truly make a difference.
The successful applicant shall support the NUM and act in their role as required. The ANUM works with NUM to provide effective leadership and efficient management of the designated area of specialty in line with the FSH strategic direction. The position will provide clinical leadership to patients and nursing staff within the area of specialty. The position is responsible for the delivery of clinical nursing services at an advanced level, promoting, establishing and implementing evidenced based therapeutic interventions in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team. The ANUM coordinates the continuum of care across the patient's journey.

Eligibility
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant's integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
