Skilled in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high voltage electrical systems, you ensure the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure for our customers.
You excel at diagnosing complex issues, performing repairs, and implementing preventative measures to keep systems running optimally in challenging environments.At KBR, you bring technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety to every project.
Known for your problem-solving abilities and thorough understanding of electrical standards, you work effectively both independently and within teams to deliver solutions that meet rigorous operational requirements.
Your proactive approach and dedication to high-quality workmanship align with KBR's mission of supporting essential missions and maintaining operational readiness.Contingent StatusThis is a contingent position based upon contract awardWhat You'll DoIn the role of High Voltage Specialist, your duties will include:Performs routine preventive maintenance and repairs on standard equipment.Constructs and installs system components, equipment, and fixtures.Diagnoses and troubleshoots faults in installations.Makes modifications to a variety of devices using standard test equipment.Adheres to safety procedures when working with electricity.Measures and controls electrical parameters.Prepares technical documentation.RequirementsMust be a US or Australian citizenMust have a US TS/SCI clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearanceMust have a minimum of five years of experience working with medium and high voltagesMust possess a Union/Utility MV and HV certifications, or the Australian equivalentMust be knowledgeable of operating/maintaining switch gears, transformers, isolation breakersThis role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
