**How will I help?**
An exciting short-term opportunity has risen for a motivated Credit Analyst to join the Westpac Institutional Bank's (WIB) Customer Insights & Analytics (CI&A) team focusing on Corporate and Institutional Energy & Infrastructure clients. You will be responsible for high quality origination and delivery of customer and industry insights to differentiate our sales proposition, manage portfolio risk and provide robust credit analysis to support and deliver sustainable credit decisions, within a Corporate and Institutional banking environment.

You will manage and partner with a portfolio of renewable energy and infrastructure clients. You will own the origination process for new transactions to grow the portfolio and the ongoing monitoring and management of the client portfolio as the primary credit analyst. You will also build and maintain strong working relationships and partnerships with our internal Relationship Managers, your analyst peers, and our clients where you will help initiate and structure a range of banking transactions.

You will also:

- Write credit submissions including detailed risk analysis and financial forecasting, and be able to present and negotiate submissions through WIB's risk management decision process.
- Utilise your Renewable Energy, Infrastructure and Utilities industry knowledge to deliver value added insights and research that can be used by both our customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure that all aspects of the credit process, including the required due diligence, are properly executed.
- Test proposals against approved business and credit strategies, target market acceptance criteria and underwriting standards. Determine the suitability of proposals, including acceptability of credit risk and structuring for final approval by a Credit Officer.

**What do I need?**
You will have solid experience in Credit Analysis within a wholesale or corporate and Institutional banking environment. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail and relationship building ability with a variety of stakeholders and external clients.

Some further advantageous skills:

- An understanding of the Energy industry and/or experience in Renewable energy (Solar/Wind) and/or electricity markets.
- Good understanding of Sustainability and Climate change related issues impacting the Energy sector.
- Strong communication and influencing skills required to manage significant relationships with stakeholders.
