QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About the role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing coordination of QBuild maintenance activities.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Providing supervisory services for construction, maintenance, and upgrade work, including assisting in project planning and delivery by efficiently supervising and developing office staff, field staff, and subcontractors.
- Managing health, safety, and environmental practices by ensuring compliance with safety systems, conducting inspections, and promoting a safe work environment.
- Coordinating teams and subcontractors by planning and implementing work methods, short-term construction programs, and optimizing daily and weekly production schedules.
- Building strong relationships through effective communication, keeping internal and external stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitoring financial compliance by managing budgets, ensuring adherence to commercial and financial costs, and maintaining accurate progress and activity reports, while also promoting QBuild's products and identifying new business opportunities.
