Job DescriptionThis position supports Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) Government Solutions in their joint Department of Defense program in Alice Springs, Australia.
The selected individual will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide security services as outlined below:International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Security Duty Officer to maintain safety and security outside technical areas by monitoring surveillance systems, patrolling premises, and responding to security incidents.Key Responsibilities:Manage and monitor assigned areas, including handling inquiries, prioritizing, and delegating actions.Control personnel access to classified areas.Implement and oversee a program to prevent removal of classified materials.Obtain necessary approvals and signatures for access requests.Conduct security training and briefings.Provide physical and personnel security measures.Implement operational security initiatives.Respond to security, fire, and emergency alarms.Screen personnel and devices entering classified areas using electronic or physical procedures.Operate the US Government provided paging and radio network.Perform security patrols of technical areas.Inspect computer systems for tampering or misuse and ensure they are secured.Provide first-response and emergency support.Remove and relocate snakes and reptiles from populated areas.Inspect classified spaces before allowing uncleared personnel entry.Conduct random security patrols and inspections of the facility and surrounding areas.Maintain and repair security systems as needed.Coordinate familiarization exercises with medical personnel.Complete organizational compliance education for certifications such as Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services or others.Qualifications:Required Skills and Knowledge:Previous experience as a security duty officer.Experience working as a government contractor preferred.Physical Demands:Frequent standing and walking, including patrolling.Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.Climbing stairs and stooping as needed.Other Qualifications:Must be a US, UK, or Australian citizen.Ability to obtain a favorable security clearance.Willing to relocate to Alice Springs, Australia for the contract duration.Possession of a valid passport, maintained throughout the stay.Additional Information:Pay ranges from $16 to $20 per hour, based on experience and other factors.
