About the Role
The WHS Business Partner will work within workplace Health & Safety in partnership with Baptcare management and staff to contribute to organisational performance and employee engagement through assisting management and staff to become superior performers; and, when significant change is required, transforming the organisation in the achievement of new directions and goals.
The WHS Business Partner is a key role in the WHS Team whose primary purpose is to provide coaching, education and support to operational leaders in the effective execution of Baptcare's WHS Management System. Each WHS Business Partner works predominantly within a Business Unit. However, WHS Business Partners also support other areas Business Units/WHS Business Partners as required.
Key Duties
Assist operational leaders to execute WHS policies, standards, procedures, etc
Contribute to the continuous improvement of WHS policies, standards, procedures, etc
Provide specialist WHS support to the business
Support the execution of the WHS Business Plan
Support and facilitate WHS regulator interaction
Direct management of the WHS Advisor
Report WHS hazards, injuries and incidents (including near misses)
Act responsibly to protect your safety and the safety of others
Participate in and contribute to WHS improvement activities including inspections, audits and other view activities
Ensure tools, equipment, PPE and clothing are in a safe condition before use and report/fix any defects as appropriate
Actively participate in rehabilitation and return to work activities following any work-related injury
Comply with responsibilities under the WHS Management System and any reasonable instructions, including during emergency situations
Key Performance Indicators
Coaching, instructing and supporting operational leaders to effectively execute WHS policies, standards, procedures, etc. including but not limited to:
WHS consultation and issue resolution
Incident management and investigations
Delivery of activities and initiatives as required by the WHS business plan
Meeting lead and lag key WHS performance metrics as per WHS business plan
Effective management of internal stakeholder and external stakeholders to improve WHS performance
About You

**You will ideally bring the following**:
Diploma level or higher qualification in Work Health and Safety
5+ years experience as a WHS Business Partner/Advisor
People management experience
The ability to travel to sites across Victoria as required
Satisfactory National Crime Check, renewed every three (3) years
Experience working in a multi-site employer environment
Knowledge of the Aged Care sector
COVID-19 Vaccinations per Baptcare's Vaccination Policy
Driver's Licence and own reliable vehicle
Full and ongoing Right to Work in Australia
Current COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain before commencement.
Willingness to obtain a Police Check through Baptcare.
