**Role description**:

Given this, we are in the market seeking expressions of interest for an Associate Technical Director - Asset Management to play a lead role in driving our growth in the VIC civil asset management market.

**Role accountabilities**:

- Implement focused pursuit and proposals within the felid of asset management.
- Coordinate and manage internal specialist teams.
- Delivering and managing state-of-the-art technology based investigation, condition and remaining service life assessments of major structural elements of road, rail and civil infrastructure assets including tunnels, bridges, utilities and critical assets;
- Managing inspection team and projects to meet budget, program and quality targets, while exceeding client expectations;
- Developing asset management options e.g. for service life extension or replacement, including whole of life cost and value analysis, and converting the options into detailed solutions for consideration by our clients;
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to asset management project team members whilst building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Working in collaboration with internal and external teams and stakeholders to ensure the integrity and quality of overall asset management deliverables;
- Leading and contributing to bids for work in civil asset management in Melbourne and regional VIC;
- Leveraging existing, and fostering new client relationships to grow Arcadis' asset management portfolio;
- Growing our asset management team's client base and subsequently growing the Arcadis asset management team, to service our clients' needs; and
- Becoming a trusted advisor for clients within the asset management industry.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life, community safety and accelerating a planet positive future. You are a tertiary qualified engineer with extensive experience in asset management, investigation and remedial design for civil infrastructure. You come to us with:

- A minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering and tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering (Civil/Structural) or material science discipline;
- Ability to provide technical expertise and direction through consultative support and effective communication to clients and stakeholders;
- Ability to lead, manage, mentor and develop small to medium scale, diverse project teams;
- Experience working on asset management consultancy activities for major Australian infrastructure assets and with relevant Australian Standards;
- Excellent report writing skills with experience in delivering investigation and asset management reports for major government and private infrastructure asset owners;
- Excellent verbal communications skills with the ability to present investigation and remedial concepts to engineers, contractors, clients and technical reviewers, as well as the ability to influence the direction of project wide asset management and remedial solution discussions;
- Excellent client focus to foster relationships with asset owner clients and contractors;
- Chartered status and relevant experience with TfNSW, VicRoads, TMR, MRWA, DIT, port or airport authority assets will be highly regarded.
