Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
About the Role
The goal of the Cross River Rail is to build stations and systems that are accessible for all customers. The Accessibility Engagement Advisor facilitates stakeholder engagement and relationship management with the Cross River Rail Accessibility Reference Group regarding accessibility outcomes related to the Project. This entails working with stakeholders across the accessibility sector, government agencies, specialist consultants and internal Project teams to coordinate and manage feedback and recommendations so they are considered and implemented in the design and operation of the Cross River Rail.
Reporting to the Customer and Accessibility Manager within the Customer and Network Integration Team. This vacancy is to cover parental leave and will be offered as a ten-month contract. Secondment enquires from current QLD Government employees who would like to contribute to improving public transport accessibility are encouraged.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, research, draft and deliver content to support Accessibility stakeholder engagement and activities.
- Maintain and build relationships with stakeholders for the purposes of gathering and actioning feedback, providing project updates, and embedding accessibility requirements in customer readiness procedures.
- Act as secretariat for the Accessibility Reference Group monthly meeting including planning content, facilitation.
- Understand the milestones of the Cross River Rail project as it relates to stakeholder obligations, risks and compliance.
- Plan and coordinate partnerships with relevant disability organisations.
- Develop communication collateral and detailed reports regarding accessibility engagement and outcomes.
- Develop and deliver Accessibility Education Program material and conduct site visits to support users and local community members to navigate CRR stations.

**About You**:

- Professional level experience in stakeholder liaison and engagement with a wide range of interest groups. Previous experience with the accessibility sector or in a government or public transport context is highly regarded but not essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven competency in creating fit for purpose internal and external communications and engagement materials.
- Ability to independently plan and manage tasks and projects to completion to meet organisational expectations of quality and timeliness.
- Ability to communicate clearly with empathy and with influence.
- Fluent in administration across the full range of Microsoft office programs including the ability to create professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
