We are dedicated to enabling, celebrating, and supporting older Australians to live and age positively.The LocationFernhill is a large 164-bed Residential Aged Care home located in Caboolture, close to public transport and shopping.The RoleThe Care Services Assistant plays a key frontline role focused on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live fulfilling lives through person-centered care tailored to individual needs and preferences.
Responsibilities include:Assisting in meal preparation, delivery, presentation, and serviceSupporting residents with meal choices and timing preferencesConsidering allergies and food intolerancesEnhancing the dining experience through engagement and empathyMaintaining accurate nutrition and dietary informationSupporting food safety and kitchen stock managementTo be successful, you will have:Customer service skillsA compassionate and caring attitudeExperience in restaurant or commercial kitchens (highly regarded)Willingness to take direction and be reliableGood time management and ability to work under pressureValid Australian working rights (e.g., Passport, Birth Certificate)Ability to complete a police checkWillingness to obtain seasonal flu vaccinations and NDIS Worker CheckEvidence of Covid-19 vaccinationWe offer career progression, a supportive work culture, generous salary packaging, tax benefits, discounts, and an Employee Assistance Program.Apply now — our application process takes less than 10 minutes.
