Job Description
Join the Melbourne New Employment Services team, passionate about supporting people with their return to health, work, and life goals
As a Job Placement Consultant, you will help individuals facing health challenges find new employment opportunities and support their return to meaningful, sustainable work.
This role will service a caseload across East & South East Melbourne.
Your duties will include:
Collaborate with injured workers, potential employers, and health professionals to provide safe, sustainable re-entry into the workforce
Assist injured workers in achieving return-to-work goals through job skills development, confidence building, and promoting independence
Deliver customer service in employment services and job placement
Empower clients to present their skills effectively when seeking employment
Broker employment opportunities in Melbourne and surrounds for workers returning after injury
Build relationships with local employers and organizations
Complete reports on progress and other required documentation
Qualifications
Experience in Occupational and/or Vocational Rehabilitation is highly desirable
Previous experience in Employment Services / Disability Employment as a high performer
Strong resume writing skills and understanding of the local labor market
Passion for helping people gain employment and advance their careers
Ability to grow services and build key relationships
Current driver's license and access to a motor vehicle
