This role is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Regional ANZ strategic initiatives, building the safety culture as a valued member of the Ballarat Potato Plant Leadership Team as a trusted advisor, and maintaining accountability for safety.

**About the role**

Health and Safety
- A SME in occupational health and safety across their areas of responsibility.
- Provide leadership, coaching and expert advice in the field of occupational health and safety to leadership teams
- Performs safety audit functions to ensure risk controls are present and effective
- Further, develop the McCain Foods and WorkSafe Victoria relationship and support the Return-to-Work function for their areas of responsibility

Continuous Improvement
- Build and maintain systems and structures to foster a continuous improvement culture across their areas of responsibility through cross-functional teamwork and communication
- Utilising safety risk management principles.

Staff Development and Training
- Provide leadership and structure to develop Managers
- Health and safety peers
- Direct team members and employees to continuously improve safety objectives and outcomes.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering or specialist occupational health and safety discipline
- 5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing, supply chain or other heavy industry environment
- Exhibits knowledge of Safety Management Systems, structures and processes (e.g. ISO45001)
- Shows a clear understanding to create or update the documentation to a professional standard
- Displays the ability to prioritise and work on a variety of projects with a results orientation and good problem-solving skills
- Showcases the ability to lead and influence people at all levels of the organization
