About the job

We have an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team at Alcoa's Kwinana refinery. This a permanent, drive in drive out position working Monday to Friday on a family friendly roster

As the Contractor Management Superintendent, you will have primary accountability for the leadership of the contractors and contracted services group ensuring safe and efficient provision of resources to achieve service objectives.

Crucial in providing critical support in the success of the refinery. Ensuring tailored and specialised resources are timely within budget and to the specified standard meet demands, helping produce safe clean tons daily.

Other responsibilities include- Influencing and engaging direct reports to take ownership in managing larger supplier contracts and subsequent requirements.- Multiple stakeholder management from the contractor space as well as client representatives in each of the respective areas.- Management of quality of work, efficiency, schedule control and budgeted costs, in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.- Ensuring continuous improvement through compliance audits and reporting to the location management to verify contractor performance- Driving maintenance quantity and quality to ensure targets are met.- Develop the maintenance/work schedule each year based on government approvals- Seek opportunities for streamlining maintenance plans- Accountable for all contractor functions including safety management, meeting the requirements of CRPs, minimising environmental impact, cost accountability and reduction initiatives, and working alongside approvals processes and site to ensure the correct resources are available at the right time in support to operations- Contract execution and contract feedback and development- Drive continuous improvement across the department- Identify efficiency opportunities and best practices, developing improvement and implementation plans.- Provide strategic and tactical planning for contractor resources across the refinery

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- Extensive experience in heavy industry, resources industry or a process environment- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders.- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (highly regarded but not essential).- Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and be able to demonstrate their ability in influencing conflict resolution and negotiation- Outstanding communication skills with strong attention to detail
