The Essendon Football Club (EFC) is looking for a highly motivated, passionate, and hardworking individual to maintain exceptional standards across all our sites. This is your chance to join a premier AFL team as EFC looks to appoint a Maintenance and Facilities Officer.

Essendon FC - "The Bombers" - are a professional sporting team in the Australian Football League. **About the role**
The Maintenance & Facilities Officer will be responsible for maintaining world-class facilities that EFC personnel, teams and members can be proud of. This includes managing all facility works, repairs and maintenance, regulatory compliance and other facility works, and projects as required.
EFC's current sites include:
- Essendon Football Club NEC Hangar, Melrose Drive, Tullamarine
- Windy Hill Precinct, Napier Street, Essendon including Social Club, Fitness Centre and additional tenancies.
- Melton Country Club
The Maintenance & Facilities Officer operates with a high level of autonomy and is expected to display significant initiative, sound judgement, and reliable management in carrying out the requirements of the position.
Day-to-day you will be required to:
- Performing ad-hoc repairs and maintenance works across EFC's sites
- Attend out of hours call outs relating to security breaches, or other facility related emergencies, from time to time.
- Oversee and action EFC's facilities maintenance, ensuring that all facility service logs are actioned within the required timeframe. This includes sourcing quotes, project management and supervision and delivery. The role includes management of key contractor and stakeholder relationships, ensuring that contractors are delivering their services to the required standard.
- Assist with managing risk, safety and compliance associated with EFC's facilities:
- Undertaking risk analysis appropriate to the Clubs facilities requirements.
- Implement and monitor programs which ensure full compliance by the Club with all relevant local regulations and State and Commonwealth legislative requirements.
- Assist with the annual budget submissions for the Club's facilities requirements
**About you**
If you are a trade qualified and experienced Handyperson with Site, Property or Facility management experience; we want you
You have strong computer literacy, relationship and stakeholder management skills to support key strategic partners and tenants, including Paralympics Australia and Western United Football Club;
You also have a strong understanding of OH&S compliance, evacuation procedures and general facility maintenance practices, and you are reliable, agile and friendly. Due to the nature of our facilities operations, this role will entail some weekend and out of business hours work.
