**About the role**

The Performance Based Standards (PBS) is a world leading scheme, providing heavy vehicle operators the opportunity to improve productivity, sustainability, and safety through innovative and optimised vehicle design. At the NHVR we now have a opportunity for a Project Lead for our new PBS Transformation Unit.

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership across diverse workstreams. You will ensure the teams undertaking the day-to-day operation of the scheme, a team setting the reform agenda, and a team transitioning the scheme to a fully digital environment work together effectively.

To do this you will work closely with a range of industry representatives (such as vehicle designers and vehicle manufactures) and internal stakeholders (including NHVR's roadside compliance officers and our data and technology team).

**About you**

You don't need to have a background in the heavy vehicle industry (but bonus points if you do). What you must have is a track record in strategic leadership roles and delivering reform projects on time and on budget. You will an ability to manage teams with highly diverse responsibilities (in this case ranging from mechanical engineers to IT professionals) and know how to run a transformation agenda.

You will have a strong passion for building and maintaining a culture of performance and accountability. The role will require strong partnerships, collaboration across the organisation and a desire to deliver high-level customer experience. Fantastic interpersonal and engagement skills along with the ability to solve complex problems and reconcile competing perspectives will be imperative to your success.
