We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller join our team on a 12-month contract. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a collaborative and supportive team in a fast-paced environment.
**Position Overview**:
As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in our finance department. Your primary focus will be on managing the credit control process and supporting the payroll function. You will ensure that our financial transactions are accurate, efficient, and in compliance with company policies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Credit Control**:
- Monitor and manage outstanding invoices and customer accounts.
- Contact clients to follow up on overdue payments and resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the sales and recruitment teams to address credit-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities.
**Payroll Processing**:
- Calculate and process payroll for employees on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Maintain payroll records and address employee payroll inquiries.
- Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
**Raising Invoices for Permanent Placements**:
- Generate and issue invoices for permanent placements, ensuring accurate details and timely delivery.
- Verify invoice accuracy and liaise with the recruitment team to confirm billing information.
- Follow up on any invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payment.
**Reporting and Documentation**:
- Prepare financial reports related to credit control, payroll, and invoicing as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of payroll and invoicing transactions.
- Assist in preparing financial documents for audits.
**Compliance**:
- Stay up-to-date with relevant payroll and credit control regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in credit control is required.
- Payroll processing, and invoicing experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., xero, astute & Microsoft Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications are a plus.
