We are seekingthree skilled Azure Data Factory Engineersto support a high-profile federal government program focused on modernising digital services and data integration infrastructure.
This role provides an opportunity to work on nationally significant projects in asecure and collaborative environment, contributing to data-driven decision-making across the agency.
As an Azure Data Factory Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintainETL pipelinesand data integration solutions using Microsoft Azure tools, ensuringsecure, scalable, and high-performing data infrastructure.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain data integration solutions usingAzure Data Factory, SQL, and related Azure services.
Develop, implement, and manage ETL pipelines for efficient, secure, and reliable data transfer.
Create and maintaindata modelsensuring accuracy, consistency, and performance.
Implement data validation and quality checks to identify and resolve anomalies.
Monitor and optimise data integration processes to reduce latency and resource consumption.
Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including data flow diagrams and operational procedures.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, applying best practices to prevent recurrence.
Stay updated on emerging data engineering trends and apply learning to improve solutions.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience withMicrosoft Azure Data Factoryand Azure data services.
Strong background indata engineering, including ETL, data integration, and data modelling.
AdvancedSQL skillsand understanding of data warehousing concepts.
Knowledge ofdata governance, security, and compliance best practices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Requirements
Must be able to obtain NV1 (Negative Vetting Level 1) Security Clearance.
Location:Canberra, ACT (hybrid work arrangements).
Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Seniority:APS6 equivalent.
Contract Details
Start Date:No later than September 2025
