We're looking for a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer who brings deep technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to help shape the long-term reliability and performance of our Gas Transmission infrastructure.This role is a unique opportunity to combine engineering excellence with purpose-led leadership.
You'll work closely with passionate, supportive teams and trusted stakeholders across the business to ensure our assets meet today's standards—and tomorrow's challenges.About the role: The Senior Engineer is responsible for providing engineering and technical services to support the safety, reliability, integrity and long term value of Jemena's Gas Transmission Asset Class that supports Jemena's commercial and operational objective.
What You'll DoAs a key technical voice in the team, you'll contribute to strategic and operational goals by:Leading asset performance and integrity reviews that ensure safety, reliability, and resilienceDeveloping opportunity briefs that clarify challenges and highlight innovative solutions to manage Integrity and value realisation of E&I Equipment Guiding options assessments to evaluate the smartest path forwardDeveloping clear scopes of work to inform project and maintenance planningSupporting front-end engineering and project design with practical, expert insightDesigning and evolving maintenance strategies and documentation that meet compliance standards and reflect Jemena's commitment to operational excellenceYou'll collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and bring people along with you—because at Jemena, we believe great engineering happens through teamwork, respect, and shared purpose.You're a trusted professional with a proactive approach and a passion for impactful engineering.
Your experience includes:Solid experience in a safety-critical industry, ideally energy or utilitiesStrong working knowledge of Australian regulatory frameworks and industry standards (AS2885, AS3000, AS 60079)A proven ability to manage technical risk, compliance, and integrity across complex systemsExperience working in or with energy utilities or service providers, with insight into the contractor marketAn ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and engage non-technical stakeholdersYour Strengths & QualificationsTertiary qualifications in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent)Advanced understanding of technical regulatory frameworks and how they relate to asset managementStrong analytical and systems-thinking mindsetA people-oriented, collaborative approach to problem-solving and project deliveryA commitment to continuous improvement, safety, and innovation Why you should come and work for us Our people are our energy source and we offer meaningful benefits and rewards that work for you.
