They are responsible for ensuring that all changes to the IT services and infrastructure are made in a controlled and approved manner and in line with SIAM processes.They are to ensure that changes are consistent and repeatable in nature, that they are communicated to all stakeholders, and that the risks associated with each change are understood and mitigated.Your ResponsibilitiesIdentifying potential change requirements, including responding to Requests for ChangeValidating change requirementsAssessing change requirementsCategorising changesSeeking technical, emergency and deployment approvals, including:Presenting changes to the CABsReceiving, storing and validating change approvalsConducting reviews of changes, including:Identifying and conducting formal reviewsConducting PCRs of each unauthorised and unsuccessful changeRequesting re-scheduling and re-scoping of change recordsClosing change recordsAttending process forums, including:DEFCAB, as requiredPCRF, as requiredCommunity of PracticeOne-on-Ones, as requiredSupporting the process community by cascading information to other process participants and stakeholders within their Service ProviderIdentifying process continual improvement opportunitiesReceiving and responding to hierarchical escalations where requiredAct as a Change Approver, approving or denying changesAttending DEFCAB as requiredSupporting and mentoring technical, operational and process orientated team membersYour Skills And Role RequirementsRequired:Ideally, 5 years+ experience in ITSM Change and Release Manager or a similar roleMinimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) AGSVA Security ClearanceACT based or willing to relocateThe ability to manage customer expectationsThe ability to mentor junior team members and to collaborate with customers and other service providersStrong communication skills with the ability to fluently and effectively communicate orally and in writingThe ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiencesThe ability to plan, schedule and monitor changes and associated work to meet time and quality targetsThe ability develop, review and martin process relevant documentationThe ability report on changes, including developing and maintaining reportsDesirable:Practical knowledge of Defence SIAM Change processesPractical knowledge of Defence SIAM ITSM processesWoking in Defence of Federal Government client settingOur Culture And BenefitsDXC is committed to building better futures for our customers, colleagues, environment, and communities.
