**About the Opportunity**

You will be responsible for monitoring the Quality Management system and compliance with NATA guidelines within the Pre Analytical team. This will be achieved through fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement and facilitating quality improvement in both action and documentation.

**Duties**:

- Update and maintain policies & procedures to ensure quality standards are met;
- Assist to coordinate document reviews, preparation of reports and other written communications with the view of ensuring department supervisor's complete reviews in a timely manner;
- Provide accreditation support to the Quality Manager;
- Perform internal audits and coordinate audit reports and actions, ensuring quality reports are tabled at monthly departmental meetings and actions followed;
- Educate and support operational staff in relation to quality systems and processes;
- Analysis of quality data, including IMS, incident reports, site audits, client feedback and complaints;
- Identify, monitor risks and make recommendations for quality improvement initiatives or opportunities for department;
- Develop, maintain and manage valued relationships with relevant external stakeholders;
- Assist to review and coordinate responses and actions to Riskman/incident reports;
- Assist with maintaining information systems such as The Edge;
- Provide timely feedback to other Clinpath departments about errors /adverse events with a view to prevention of future recurrences; and
- Participate in team meetings, collaborative planning activities and quality assurance.

**Applicants should possess the following**:

- Previous experience in a laboratory or pathology practice (preferred);
- Familiarity with quality standards and systems;
- Ability to prepare and deliver training presentations confidently;
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines;
- Demonstrated attention to detail;
- Demonstrated excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Proven ability to work independently and identify efficiencies and improvements;
- Ability to communicate in a concise and articulate manner;
- Ability to work in a team environment and, when required, to work autonomously;
- Ability to interpret instructions and provide feedback to ensure systems, procedures and processes are maintained at the highest standard;
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses).
