Maitland Christian School is excited to be seeking expressions of interest for the role of Secondary Learning Support Coordinator commencing Term 4, 2025 (or later by negotiation).
This Secondary leadership role works closely with the secondary KLA coordinators, teachers and learning support assistants, and oversees the strategic implementation of Learning Support programs in Secondary.

About the Role
Maitland Christian School is seeking to appoint a Christian educator to be our next Secondary Learning Support Coordinator. This ongoing, full-time position, that includes a position of responsibility allowance, would ideally commence Term 4, 2025 (or later by negotiation).
The Secondary Learning Support Coordinator works collaboratively with other executive staff in the implementation of targeted intervention strategies and programs, as well as classroom support and other support for students with higher learning needs. They also have active oversight of the IEP development, NCCD processes, disability adjustments and liaison with external providers.

Maitland Christian School has an excellent name in the local community and is experiencing exciting growth, with a move from a double stream school to a triple stream school underway. Current and planned building projects will add to the well-resourced learning environments at the School.

Selection Process
The School's Selection Committee will consider applications as they are submitted and prepare a shortlist of candidates for interview. The School may move more quickly to interview highly suitable applicants. It is expected that at least one round of interviews will be undertaken with the successful applicant appointed to the School staff, ideally commencing duties as soon as possible at the beginning of Term One 2026 or as negotiated.
Salary
Salary will align with NSW Christian Schools Teaching Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement at the successful applicant's level of responsibility and experience. Given the School's size and the supporting leadership structure, a teaching load will form part of the role.
