Work an attractive fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) roster from Cairns or Townsville or a drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) roster and take advantage of our top-class camp, or live local in the close-knit community of Cloncurry and be home every night.This roster is 8/6 (days) – 7/7 (nights) and a 12-hour shift.We understand that flexible work means something different to everyone and encourage you to have a conversation about the flexible work options available.About the roleReporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will support the underground electrical maintenance department by ensuring all completed works are safe and compliant with standards and are completed with accurate record keeping of test results and work order comments.
Key responsibilities in this role include:Supporting our asset management policy and standards, asset management plan, and work management processEnsuring good quality work is achieved to enable maintenance KPI targets to be met or exceededKeeping accurate records of work required/done on all work ordersWorking with Supervisor/Planners to ensure Pronto data is kept up to dateGaining familiarity of underground assets including fixed plant materials handling, hoisting system, drill rigs / 1kV and 415/240V auxiliary equipmentFault finding and calibration of instruments including weight, pressure, temperature, and distanceAssisting with High Voltage (HV) Network switching, in line with High Voltage Isolation and Access RequirementsAbout youYou will bring prior experience working in an underground mining environment with various fixed plant assets.
You will have a safety-focused mindset and a can-do attitude with a willingness to accept individual responsibility within a small team.
A basic level of computer skills and relevant machinery tickets.
