Yulong Stud is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Broodmare Manager.

Reporting to the Stud Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the care and management of Yulongs broodmare band.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the care of broodmares,
- Demonstrated experience in the foaling process and experience working with problem foalings,
- Experience in the care and management of foals through to weanlings,
- Experience in training and educating young horses,
- Ability to change bandages and maintain progress notes to communicate with treating Veterinarians,
- Ability to administer medications (intravenous and intramuscular injections, oral medications, fluid therapy) to all stock under veterinary care,
- Knowledge of, and experience in, safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment,
- Ability to manage a team of staff, including training new staff,
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work within a team environment and independently,
- Ability to liaise with senior management and fellow workers,
- Demonstrated problem solving skills,
- Demonstrated attention to detail,
- Willingness to work unsocial hours during breeding season,
- Ability to maintain accurate records.

You will be well presented, a clear communicator and have a desire to achieve great results. Previous experience managing/working a busy broodmare operation is essential.
