**How will I help?**

You will provide a service to the WBC and SGB Networks (Consumer, Business, Commercial and Call Centres) around the pricing of Consumer and Business Deposits to:
- Maximise income earned in the Deposit portfolio's while minimising the loss of customer accounts and balances to competitors. This will require skills cross various disciplines including a high degree of problem-solving ability, decisiveness, assertiveness and commercial awareness
- To control the level of pricing discounting the bank is prepared to forego based on the pricing discretion levels set by Product Pricing Committee and Pricing optimisation team

You will also be responsible for:

- Answering telephone calls from the Network (Consumer, Business, Commercial and Call Centres) requesting discretionary interest rates on Deposits
- Provide "Market Intelligence" to Sales Staff when requesting an increase in Deposit rates
- Provide to the Sales Staff the options that are available regarding retention and acquisition of accounts such as longer terms for better rates, looking at weekly specials and understanding the financial outcomes (ie: margin compression)
- Establishing "How much" of an increase in Deposit rates is required in any given situation to win/ retain a deal - considering margins, current yield curve conditions and potential costs
- Mystery shopping competitors' rates and understanding where the market is for specific deals

- You will be a self-starter, able to work self sufficiently
- Understanding of the customer experience/needs regarding products that the position is responsible
- Previous Experience that provides sound understanding of the market, product, and competitive environment.
- Understanding of relevant product group market environment and economic environment.
- Ability to play a mentoring relationship for the wider team
- Capability to facilitate and foster stakeholder relationships
- Power to exercise governance and best practise
- You will carry a wealth of problem-solving skills and decisive thinking
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
- Desire to be constantly challenged and develop new knowledge
