This role will allow you to ensure that we are compliant, and we know it, and drive a culture of environmental compliance within the business.What's the roleThe Compliance Team's role is critical in identifying and managing environmental compliance risks for the business.As Environment Compliance Advisor, you will ensure Shell's environmental compliance on the east coast of Australia.
You will partner with the business, identify issues, and develop strategies and plans to manage and highlight environmental compliance risks and opportunities.You must have a deep commitment to our values, code of conduct, Goal Zero, and demonstrate a mindset of simplification and delivery.
You are expected to role model inclusive behaviors, encouraging diverse views and perspectives.What you'll be doingThe Environment Compliance Advisor will proactively and reactively manage compliance obligations and risks to maintain Shell's social license to operate on the east coast of Australia.
Key responsibilities include :Regulatory Risk : Identify and communicate regulatory risks by implementing QGC's regulatory condition assurance process, ensuring compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement;Manage environmental risks through ISO14001 management system : Promote and contribute to Shell QGC's ISO 14001 EMS to foster ownership and accountability for environmental issues;Provide environmental oversight : Support Shell Australia's assurance programs, including audits, incident management, and third-party assessments;Partner with stakeholders : Provide regulatory advice to Shell Assets and represent Shell Australia in interactions with regulators, including incident management and inspections.What you bringYour interpersonal and influencing skills will help build collaborative stakeholder relationships.
You will inspire positive change and have :Deep commitment to Goal Zero and personal accountability;Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical, environmental, or legal discipline (essential);Knowledge of State and national environmental legislation, policies, and standards;Strong technical writing and communication skills;Experience with ISO14001 environmental management systems;Management Systems Auditor certification (preferable);Experience in field environmental management in CSG / LNG or related industries (preferable);Proven interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement;A drive for simplification and continuous improvement;Commitment to honest, transparent communication and supporting decisions.APPLICATION PERIOD CLOSES ON AUGUST 24.After applying, you will receive an email with a link to an online assessment from HireVue, which is mandatory and valid for a period.
