Our "One Team Culture" values diversity, collaboration, and excellence.Your Role: Lead Climate Strategy in WAWe're looking for a driven Principal Consultant to lead our Climate Change & Net-Zero Strategy services in Western Australia, while also supporting clients across Asia-Pacific.
You'll be the face of our climate advisory services in WA – building client relationships, leading projects, and driving growth.You'll work across APAC, delivering practical, high-quality solutions for clients in:Aligning with Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS).
Climate risk and scenario analysisGHG emissions accounting (Scopes 1, 2 & 3)Net-zero and decarbonisation strategyRenewable energy and fleet transition planningWhat You'll DoLead & Grow: Build SLR's presence in WA through business development, thought leadership, and client engagement.Deliver Projects: Manage end-to-end delivery of climate strategy projects, ensuring quality, insight, and impact.Inspire Teams: Mentor junior consultants, manage project teams, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing culture.Shape Solutions: Develop new service offerings aligned with market needs and regulatory trends.What You'll Bring8+ years' experience in climate change, sustainability, or related fieldsProven expertise in:Climate risk assessments & scenario analysisGHG accounting (including Scope 3)Net-zero, carbon neutral and other sustainability frameworks (including SBTi)Decarbonisation strategy and implementation roadmapsA thorough understanding of the core requirements of the ASRS, as well as the TCFD recommendations and IFRS S2.A strong understanding of all, and expertise in some, of the core industries & sectors in WA, with a preference for experience in mining and minerals.Demonstrable experience in business development, client growth, and winning work.Ability to distil quantitative and qualitative data and communicate it succinctly to clients.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Our BenefitsWe are proud of our unique culture where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
