Position Purpose
The ICT Project Manager will oversee critical technology projects that support our daily operations and prepare us for a future warehouse management system migration.
In the short term, you'll:
Roll out mobile, paperless picking via barcode scanners on our FoxPro-based Translogix Sapphire WMS
Rebuild and enhance the Poscat customer web portal (PHP/MySQL) with API connectivity
Plan the transition from Translogix Sapphire to a new WMS platform (e.g., CartonCloud) over the next 1–2 years
This full-time, permanent role (38 hours/week) offers a salary of AUD 75K–85K plus superannuation working in an extremely stable and growing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
Define scope, schedule, budget and resource plans for ICT initiatives
Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, operations, customer service, vendors) to achieve milestones
Monitor risks, issues and change requests; escalate when necessary
Technical Leadership
Lead configuration and deployment of mobile scanning workflows integrated with Translogix Sapphire
Architect and develop the Poscat portal using PHP, MySQL (or similar stack) and RESTful APIs
Ensure code quality, security controls and system performance with internal developers and consultants
Systems Transition & Integration
Develop migration strategies, data-conversion templates and cut-over plans for the new Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Validate integration points between WMS and billing/transport systems
Manage UAT cycles, data reconciliation and go-live support
Support & Governance
Provide second and third-line support for WMS, portal and mobile applications
Maintain backup, disaster-recovery and security protocols
Create and update SOPs, user guides and project documentation
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary liaison for warehouse, customer service and management teams
Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications
Deliver training sessions and materials for new systems and tools
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years in ICT project management, preferably within logistics or warehouse systems
Familiarity with FoxPro applications and ideally WMS systems as well as barcode/mobile scanning technology
Proven track record of data migration, system integration and UAT best practices
Strong verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Desirable Qualifications
PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile/Scrum certification
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern web frameworks
Knowledge of transport management systems (TMS) or third-party logistics workflows
Reporting & Relationships
Interacts with: IT Team, Operations Managers, Customer Service Teams, Business Development, external vendors and consultants
