Overview

ICT Project Manager (Transition and Service Delivery) for a long-term contract with a Federal Government Client. NV1 Security Clearance is required. Duration: 9 Months (Possible Extension). Location: Canberra (Onsite).

We are looking for an experienced ICT Project Manager (Transition and Service Delivery) to lead and deliver transition activities and ongoing service delivery for the agency.

Required Skills
  • Financial management: Level 4 (SFIA) Demonstrated experience in monitoring and maintaining financial records to agreed requirements for compliance and audit. Assists with identifying and calculating process, service, project and component costs for financial planning and budgeting. Collates required financial data and reports for analysis and to facilitate decision-making.
  • Project management: Level 5 (SFIA) Takes responsibility for definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects. Provides effective leadership to the project team. Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools. Manages change control, assesses and manages risks, maintains realistic project plans, and delivers regular communication to stakeholders. Ensures project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets and formally accepted by stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder relationship management: Level 5 (SFIA) Identifies stakeholder communications and relationship needs. Translates strategies into activities and deliverables. Facilitates open communication between stakeholders. Acts as a single point of contact and maintains engagement plans. Facilitates business decision-making and disseminates technical and business information.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategy that aligns with the agency's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee and manage the transition of ICT services to ensure value for money, continuity of services, and implementation of a fit-for-purpose solution.
  • Provide strong and considered advice to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand technology needs and ensure these are met in the transition delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, negotiate and manage contracts and agreements as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff, guiding matters related to technology more broadly.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of IT systems and data, and implement strategies to mitigate risks and protect sensitive information.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the ICT Operations team, including management of staff, budgets, and resources.
