Our vision is to create an A1-free world where dairy nourishes all people and our planet.The a2 Milk Company seeks to achieve this through the naturally occurring a2 Milk difference and by bringing a more sustainable approach to dairy.Your Impact:Based at our Smeaton Grange facility and reporting to the Production and Continuous Improvement Manager, you will play a key role in operating and maintaining equipment to ensure smooth production.
With safety and quality as your top priorities, you'll help us deliver premium products while minimising waste and keeping operations efficient.As a hands-on team player, you'll thrive in our small-site environment, where flexibility, reliability, and collaboration are essential.You'll be working on a rotating shift roster:Week 1: 5:00am – 1:06pmWeek 2: 10:30am – 6:36pmThis role also includes some Saturday shifts, paid at overtime rates.More specifically, you will be involved in:Setting up machinery in line with the daily production planSafely operating processing lines and related equipmentIdentifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and incidentsTroubleshooting issues: clearing jams, resolving faults, and responding to breakdownsEnsuring incoming materials meet required specificationsVerifying that finished products meet quality standardsAccurately reading and recording batch and production informationSupporting general cleaning of the facility and equipmentYou may also assist with other duties such as debagging, filling, processing, case packing, dispatch, and more — depending on the day's needs.What you will bring:A current forklift licence (preferred)Experience working in the food manufacturing industry (essential)Background in a production or manufacturing environment — dairy experience highly regardedExperience operating filling machines and related equipmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGood reading, writing, and documentation abilitiesA proactive approach with the ability to work independentlySolid problem-solving skillsThe a2 Milk Company Australia is a certified Family Inclusive Workplace committed to improving our team members work life wellbeing with leading policies and practices on flexible work, parental leave, family care and family wellbeing.
