**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight roster, at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

The Emergency Services team provides essential services across the operation and into the community in emergency response, operational security, and community safety.

As the **Superintendent - Security & Emergency Management, **you will be responsible for ensuring:

- **Emergency Preparedness and Incident Management**: Develop, implement, and review comprehensive emergency response plans and conduct regular emergency exercises to ensure preparedness and compliance with regulations.
- **Team Leadership and Development**: Lead, coach, and mentor the Emergency Services Team, ensuring effective training and operational readiness for both site and community emergency responses.
- **Risk and Compliance Management**: Oversee compliance with safety critical controls and regulatory requirements, conducting audits and assurance activities to verify adherence to emergency preparedness standards.
- Contribute to the Worsley HSERT Operations goals, based on the South32 HSERT strategy.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

- Working at Superintendent level within the mining/resources sector
- Understanding the importance of executing technical emergency related work
- Sound communication, interpersonal, negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Can successfully manage time, plan, communicate and organise work deliverables and able to self-manage priorities.
- Experience in leading effective teams of 5+ with a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications for this position are:

- Certificate IV in Public Safety or RII Emergency Response or higher preferred but not essential
- Certificate IV Health Care or Higher preferred but not essential
