As a Data Solution Lead, you will join the Risk Information Delivery program that is a strategic initiative led by the Group risk strategy & transformation division at ANZ. The program is charged with re-imagining risk reporting and analytics capability on a Google Cloud based data hub and enabling dashboards and visual analytics on Tableau Cloud.

The Data Solution Lead is critical to making this happen and will:
Partner with product owner, architects, technology teams, cybersecurity professionals and cross-functional teams to design and implement data driven solutions.
Design robust and scalable engineering practices to meet the data needs whilst establishing standards, guidelines, and best practices for teams building on the platform as well as utilising the solution.
Play an active role in project coordination between internal and third party/vendors for smooth project delivery with a focus on risk mitigation strategies.
Be hands on in implementing technical solutions to meet business requirements - lead by example, establish best practices standards by demonstrating high quality engineering practices.
Promote internal/external technology strategies, evaluate, and test products, perform proof of concepts, and pilot new technologies/methods.
Know Agile - Scrum project management experience/knowledge - Ability to prioritise, pushback and effectively manage a data product and sprint backlog.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Extensive experience architecting and implementing large scale Data Warehouses, Data Lakes/Data Hubs, Business Intelligence and MDM solution to deliver actionable business insights.

Extensive experience devising cloud native, hybrid or multi cloud data architectures across diverse data domains. Expertise in Azure/GCP/AWS experience would be a huge added advantage, in particular, GCP.

Proven expertise in building reliable and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from a variety of data sources.

Knowledge of data modelling techniques such as Data Vault, SCD, Kimball, Star, Snowflake etc.

Expert level skills in SQL with a deep understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), No-SQL Databases and hands-on experience in implementation and performance tuning of MPP databases (e.g., BigQuery).

Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jira), Industrialization tools (e.g. Terraform)
