**Description**:
Are you a seasoned marketing professional with a passion for promoting the vibrant cultural and economic identity of Sydney's west? Do you possess a track record of developing and executing effective marketing and communication strategies that leave a lasting impact? If so, we invite you to join Council's dynamic team as a Marketing the City Officer on a 12-month full-time contract.
Key Requirements:

- Experience: You must have a minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience leading the development and implementation of effective marketing and/or business communication strategies.
- Networking Skills: Proven ability to develop and maintain a network of strategic contacts across a range of local, metropolitan, and specialist organizations, associations, and more.
- Innovation: Demonstrated experience in generating innovative marketing and promotional initiatives that have significantly raised the profile of a place or organization.
- Qualification: A tertiary degree in marketing, business development, or another appropriate qualification combined with relevant marketing experience.

Role Overview:
As the Marketing the City Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organisation to develop and implement marketing and communication programs, with a primary focus on City 'place' marketing. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to showcase this City area as the premier destination of choice, celebrating its economic and cultural identity.
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to enhance the image and reputation of the as a vibrant and attractive destination.
- Collaborate with local businesses, community organizations, and cultural institutions to identify opportunities for joint marketing initiatives.
- Lead the creation of innovative marketing campaigns that highlight the unique features and attractions of our city.
- Foster and nurture relationships with strategic partners and contacts, both locally and beyond.
- Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to continuously refine marketing strategies for maximum impact.
- Oversee the production of promotional materials, digital content, and advertising campaigns.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
