Job Description
Your Role as a Mental Health Worker
Make a real difference in the lives of young people while working with a passionate and supportive team that's with you every step of the way.
As a valued member of our mental health team, you'll have the opportunity to form strong professional relationships with young people aged 12–25, helping them navigate a wide range of challenges including early mental health issues, substance use, physical health, education, and social concerns.
In this role, you'll:
Conduct psychosocial assessments using tools such as HEADSS, K10, PHQ9, GAD7,SOFAS AND SCOFF.
Develop and deliver
individualised care plans
that reflect each young person\'s goals, strengths, and needs
Provide
evidence-based psychological support
, monitor outcomes, and implement appropriate risk management plans
Engage in single session support, group facilitation and family-inclusive practice
Work in a
trauma-informed, culturally sensitive
, and inclusive way that supports both the individual and their family

Desired Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and bringing warmth, professionalism, and commitment to their work.
You'll ideally have:
A
tertiary qualification
in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, or a related allied health field
Registration with a relevant professional body (or willingness to be provisionally employed while working toward registration)
Experience delivering
individual and/or group therapeutic interventions
A strong understanding of
youth mental health challenges
and evidence-based treatment approaches
Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills
, with the ability to connect authentically with young people from all walks of life
The ability to
work both independently and collaboratively
as part of a dynamic team
A commitment to
ongoing professional development
, growth, and reflective practice
