- This is an exciting opportunity for a leader of the profession with a strong vision for the future of Social Work in the Victorian health system, and a commitment to excellence in the care of patients, families, and carers. You will be responsible for the clinical, operational, and strategic leadership of Social Work, and oversees the Diversity portfolio for The Royal Melbourne Hospital including Interpreters, Cultural Diversity, Disability Liaison Officers, and LGBTIQA+ Patient Navigators. This role is strongly supported by the Allied Health management team, Royal Melbourne Hospital leadership, and oversees a fabulous team of committed staff.
**Your new role**:
- Manage the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of the Social Work and Diversity services across a range of indicators.
- Work within The Royal Melbourne Hospital's Clinical Governance Framework to ensure that staff are appropriately credentialed and supported to facilitate the delivery of safe, high quality care.
- Manage specific Allied Health leadership portfolios as an integral membership of the Allied Health Management Team.
- Facilitate service development and best practice initiatives within Allied Health, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of Allied Health research strategy, consistent with overall Royal Melbourne Hospital strategy.
**About you**:
- You are a qualified Social Worker with relevant Post Graduate qualifications.
- You bring extensive clinical knowledge to provide high level support and leadership within Social Work and Allied Health.
- You demonstrate advanced management, problem-solving and leadership skills with proficiency in financial and Human Resource management.
- You have excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, allowing you to work collaboratively with others.
