This is a great opportunity to manage a well-established and reputable retail business offering a range of products and services, including newspapers, magazines, TattsLotto, stationery, gifts, and more.Roles and Responsibilities:As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the store's daily operations.
Your duties will include:Managing the day-to-day operations of the newsagency and retail storeSupervising and training staff, preparing rosters, and ensuring adequate staffing at all timesDelivering high-quality customer service and resolving customer issues efficientlyManaging stock levels, ordering inventory, receiving deliveries, and liaising with suppliersEnsuring full compliance with Tatts Lotto operations and proceduresManaging daily cash handling, EFTPOS transactions, and banking in an accurate and secure mannerMonitoring store presentation, cleanliness, merchandising, and promotional activitiesPreparing and reviewing sales reports, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to meet sales targetsEnforcing workplace safety policies and maintaining compliance with regulatory and operational standardsRequirements:Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a retail supervisory or management positionDiploma in Business, Retail Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification)Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSound understanding of stock control, inventory systems, and supplier managementProficiency in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and managing daily cash reconciliationsAbility to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced retail environmentAvailability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
