About the role

We are seeking a values-driven AOD Team Leader to lead an effective and high functioning team of multi-disciplinary staff to deliver client centred, residential Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services. This role requires you to ensure service delivery targets and organisational standards are achieved and funding body requirements are met.

You will successfully
- Implementation of service delivery processes and tools
- Quality service delivery meets the needs of client groups; for example participant access, intake & assessment and admissions management, clinical services, service delivery planning, and progress and outcomes for clients
- Monitoring service performance targets and collaboratively identifying strategies to address issues with the service manager
- Identifying and escalating to Service Manager/team risks of not meeting targets
- Monitor risk to clients, staff and TSA in service delivery, provide responses to incidents and manage in accordance with TSA / Government processes and escalate where required
- A small client case load may be carried where required
- Building productive relationships within the team
- Systems are implemented for clear communication and handover between staff
- Leading practice development for the team
- Build and maintain relationships within local community
- Reporting to program manager on progress against internal and external service delivery compliance requirements

This is a permanent full-time role, based in Dooralong Transformation Centre, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 6.

You will have
- Degree qualification in social work, psychology or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development
- Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment)
- Relevant experience in an AOD/mental health service environment
- Relevant experience in supervising staff
