**About the Role**:
The Minerals Australia Heritage Team is responsible for delivering dual goals for the company: (i) delivering social value in line with our Reconciliation Action Plan; and (ii) unlocking resource value in line with our Life of Asset Plans.

At BHP we believe Traditional Owners have intrinsic rights to the land on which we operate. The role of the Cultural Heritage Team is to ensure that the company delivers land access in line with the expectations of Traditional Owners and in line with our Charter Values.

We have an opportunity in our Planning and Standards Team reporting to the Superintendent Cultural Heritage Social Value and Standards. The role is Mon - Fri based in Perth with travel required across Australia including to remote areas. Flexible work options will be considered.

You will be required to:

- Build strong relationships with Traditional Owners, and other Indigenous stakeholders.
- Support the Superintendent Cultural Heritage Social Value and Standards in delivering on and measuring performance of the BHP Minerals Australia Cultural Heritage Social Value Plan.
- Support BHP to identity opportunities to create social value for cultural heritage in operational plans, future growth objectives, and Business due diligence processes.
- Collaborate internally with Cultural Heritage operational teams across Australia to identity and support social value creation opportunities.
- Partner with community and academic organisations and work closely with government agencies.
- Project manage and execute projects that focus on community aspirations and aid in enhancing, protecting, or promoting cultural heritage and identity.

**About You**:
To be successful in the Specialist Cultural Heritage Social Value role you will be driven by a personal desire to make a positive difference in the community combined with a clear understanding of the role that the resources sector plays in cultural heritage management.

You will also have the following skills and attributes:

- Tertiary qualification in Anthropology, Archaeology, Cultural Heritage Management, Indigenous Studies, Land Conservation, Community Development or similar/equivalent is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial stakeholder relationships with excellent communication skills.
- Proven track record in project management in the cultural heritage or community space (or similar). You will have confidence and capability in tracking project milestones and deliverables as well as measuring performance, value add and effectiveness.
- Experience in the development and implementation of strategic plans within complex operational environments.
- You will have the ability to influence and inspire others to explore and tack action on social value creation opportunities within their own work streams.
