About the Department
The Neurology Department at Alfred Health is growing, with recent investments leading to expansion in research and clinical trials.
It includes inpatient units and specialized outpatient clinics.
Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Research Coordinator in Neurosciences is to assist with the coordination and management of clinical trials and cohort studies within the Neurology Department.
Responsibilities include patient assessment, administering cognitive scales, recruitment, data collection, and management according to Good Clinical Practice standards and trial protocols.
The coordinator will liaise with principal investigators, ethics committees, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Experience in coordinating clinical research and trials within GCP guidelines, specifically in neurology.
Experience administering cognitive scales in neurological patients.
Management skills for multidisciplinary teams engaged in clinical research.
Knowledge of neurology and its subspecialties.
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to practice nursing as part of a healthcare team.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Desirable
Postgraduate qualification in health and/or management or working towards it.
