**Role Purpose**:
The primary focus for the MPM Technical Specialist - Australia role is to support the MPM Team in Australia ongoing development, expansion and management of medical networks in Australia which currently span over 1,000 providers across hospitals, day surgeries, GP practices and medical centres, pathology, radiology, optical, allied health (physiotherapy and occupational therapy), nursing, air ambulance and commercial repatriations. The MPM Technical Specialist will be primarily responsible for supporting the Local Medical Provider Managers with the contracting, setup and onboarding of new providers; assisting and in some cases leading programs of work to support regulatory reform and compliance obligations; supporting the Head of Medical Provider Networks with the establishment of new models of care and member steerage approaches; and working with key stakeholders to enhance the data and reporting available to the MPM team for decision making and monitoring.
**Key responsibilities**:
**Provider Negotiation, Contracting, Setup and Onboarding**
- Market scanning and identification of new providers for inclusion in the network
- Management of provider enquiries for network inclusion
- Supporting (and in some instances leading) with the negotiation with providers
- Preparation of provider contracts
- Undertaking pre-contractual checks including vendor integrity screening
- Setting up contracted providers across the relevant platforms used by Allianz Partners (both locally and globally)
- Supporting with the onboarding and training of contract providers
- Facilitation of provider setups to support claims payments for Australian OSHC and OVHC business
**Provider Management**
- Day to day management of provider queries and enquiries into the MPM team inbox
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the Allianz Partners Australia business and other Allianz Partners' Business Units to resolve provider issues
- Undertaking annualized vendor integrity screening
- Ensuring that provider details are up to date, correct and accurate across Allianz Partners Systems and various reports used by key teams across the Allianz Partners Business
**MPM Processes and Regulatory Compliance**
- Support the MPM Australian MPM Team and the global MPM governance team in ensuring the adherence of local practices with the MPM global target operating model
- Support from an MPM Australia perspectives developments of new modules or changes of modules in the MPM global target operating model and other MPM policies and procedures
- Management of and ensuring local MPM processes are documented and maintained in Allianz Partners Australia's quality document management system
- Assisting with making changes to policies, procedures, and work instructions in line with any Australia regulatory and legislative changes as required
**Health Program Innovation & New Model Development**
- Support the Head of Medical Networks - Australia to undertake research and analysis of emerging healthcare models and areas of clinical care including prevention, chronic disease management, hospital substitute treatment, early discharge, and alternative rehabilitation models
- Supporting, and in some instances leading, the development of new health models
- Assist the Head of Medical Networks or the Local Medical Provider Managers with the identification and negotiation with suitable providers
- Assist the Head of Medical Networks or the Local Medical Provider Managers with projects to support the introduction of new health programs across areas such as operational process changes, website, and other marketing material development, and referring partner engagement.
**Data and Reporting**
- Take a leading role in working with Allianz Partners Australia's BI and Operations Analytics Team to scope and enhance regular reporting available to MPM for the Australian lines of business
- Support the MPM team with the development of regular reporting to suit internal and external stakeholder needs (as required)
**As successful, Medical Provider Management Technical Specialist**:
- Experience in either provider or account management is essential for the role
- Good customer service skills with a 'can do' attitude and a willingness to 'go the extra mile' to ensure providers are supported
- A willingness to work in a small, highly collaborative team environment with adaptability and the flexibility to adapt to change
- Experience in the development, refinement and adherence to operational processes and procedures
- Previous experience working with or for medical providers or in financial services is preferred
- Solid skills using the full Microsoft Office suite is a must with intermediate to advanced excel skills an advantage
